Noted actor and magician, Alex, breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai yesterday, May 1st 2011. He was 52. He entered the filmdom with the Rajinikanth starrer Valli and since then had acted in several Tamil films as character artiste and villain.Alex’s name entered the Guinness Book of World Records for making magic continuously for 24 hours. His name also features in the Limca Book of World Record of creating magic for 12 hours continuously.
Apart from these honors, Alex was also honored with a doctorate and several awards including the Chevalier Award.
