Mel Gibson reaches divorce settlement

Mel Gibson and wife Robyn Moore have agreed upon a divorce settlement in order to end their 28-year marriage.
Moore started divorce hearings in 2009, citing "irreconcilable differences". Her lawyer appeared before a judge this morning to say that they had reached an agreement.
The couple have one daughter and six sons together after marrying in 1980. They did not sign a pre or post-nuptial agreement at the time, meaning that they must divide all assets accrued during their marriage equally under Californian law.
The divorce is expected to be fully granted in August, when the judgement on the case will be completed.
Gibson is also in the middle of full custody negotiations for his daughter with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
The actor was recently named alongside cricketer Shane Warne as two of Australia's least-trusted celebrities.
