Sick & tired of this VSC processing time frames, I hope they know what they are doing?
Applied for my H1/H4 (8th year) extension on October 22, 2007 and no approval as of today..not sure how long its going to take in order to approve these H1/H4 extension....my last approved H1 will expire in March 1st week of 2008. (still waiting for 140 approval at TSC).. Drama part-2 starts when ever 140 gets approved and applying for another extension .. oh lord!!
Not sure if VSC is trying to meet processing time frames for these visa extension applications with applicants Date of Birth....:D (I am sure that's what they are trying to do with cases filed in EB2 for 140/485)
oh god!! please give us energy & patience to deal with this processing centers!!

Update: My case was approved today. I-140 , EB3 India PD - 03/24/2005, USCIS Recd: 05/25/2007 at NSC. Transferred to TSC in Aprl'08. Approval email: 08/14/08.

We applied for her AP renewal on July 1st 2009 and on the status page, it says approval notice sent on July 16th. At the same time I also see a soft LUD on her I-485. The new date is 07/15/2009 but no status update. Are these two events connected or is someone actually looking at her I-485? Note, she is not current per priority date, however Texas processing times have been updated recently.

I don't understand why are you raising this issue in a forum specifically designed to address immigration issues.
If you need to find a good desi consulting company then you would have to do your own research. After all what would you expect from the members...company A is good and company B is bad!
You are not going to get a definite answer from this forum! Also, please understand that there are many members here that may not work for desi consulting companies or are desis for that matter. Do your own research and find a company that works for you without soliciting opinions from a forum not designed for such responses!

I want to purchase an house in Washington DC/MD/VA. My office is close to Rockville. Please recommend the best place to buy an house based on the following criteria.
1> Very good school district
2> Low property tax
3> Very low crime rate
4> Rental value should be same as mortgage amount+insurance+PMI+property tax
5> Property values should be in 300K range max

I Applied my H1b extn on Jan 9th , and i went to India on 18th Jan and came back on 18th Feb using my AP is this could be cause for the delay.

Am I the only one who thinks it would be sheer genius if Kodak was to license the Canon mount? Imagine if they offered both Nikon and Canon mounts (even better - an interchangeable mount plate so you could have it both ways on one body)!
Surely this is possible. Perhaps Canon is blocking them or it's just not cost-effective?

Thanks! I was worried because they may reject my application because if the PD is August, it is not qualified under the July VB. But it seems that because I am qualified anytime the VB shows current, I can apply in August without issue regarding PD.

send faxes to congress /house...it is in the house where bills get structured.
make sure u add only the SKIL bill...just remove cap for ppl with advanced us degrees...that was the only thing the house had agreed to consider
but everyone on this forum ignored me

it aint rocket science guys....think about it from the lawmakers point of view....would they allow for more immigration frindly reforms now....no way...so be ready to compromise and suggest the ones which are truly benefecial to the US economy....
the bottom line was always...borders secure first..then talk about immigration reforms....

Has anyone else come accross this problem? I wanted to remitt funds to India and when I logged in to SBI GLS web site I got the following message:
Due to regulations applicable in your state of residence in USA, we regret that, at present, we are unable to continue offering SBI Express Remit - US (our product using direct debit facility through ACH) till further notice.
We are engaged in meeting the state's current regulatory requirements, and it will be our endeavor to restore to you at the earliest the convenience you have been enjoying. Meanwhile, you may use the aid of Rapid Remittance (Web-assistance for tracking wire transfers) when you use wire transfer from your bank to send funds to your beneficiary accounts in India.
Please mail any of your queries to our customer support team at

My EB-3 priority date is 10/17/2004 Non-PERM. My I-140 was filed in May 2007 and is approved in Aug 2008. Meanwhile I also filed for I-485 for me and my spouse (thanks to DOS Visagate June 2007 event)
I am also on H1B 6th year. Looking at the delay in the EB3 I am contemplating if there is any risk in filing for EB-2.

Regarding affidavits, scanned copy is good enough.
Regarding passport, it might be an issue. My company & my friend's company asked to renew the passport if it is less than 6 months of expiry time.
You still have time to renew. Just a matter of 2days work if you go directly to the Indian consulate.....
