Gary Dourdan charged in drug case
Former CSI actor Gary Dourdan has been charged with drug possession in an LA court.
The 44-year-old actor was arrested in June when police found "a few" pills in his possession after the actor had crashed his vehicle into two parked cars. The narcotics were initially believed to be ecstasy, but tests later confirmed that they were in fact oxycodone.
An LA City Attorney's Office rep has confirmed that Dourdan will face a drug possession charge as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and is due in court today for a hearing, E! News-reports.
The star could face up to six months in jail on each count if he is convicted.
Dourdan previously avoided jail time following his 2008 arrest for possession of cocaine, ecstasy and other drugs.
He portrayed investigator Warrick Brown for eight years on the CBS drama CSI, but his character was killed off in the memorable season nine episode 'For Warrick'.
