Audrina Patridge prefers London to Los Angeles as it is “friendly, carefree and non-judgmental.”
The former star of reality TV show The Hills recently visited the UK capital and found it a refreshing change to the Californian city where the show was set and enjoyed soaking up its history.
“Britain is so cool, you have such a good energy and everyone is so nice, friendly, carefree and non-judgmental, which is a pleasant change from Los Angeles,” she said.
“There’s a much greater sense of history. I am a huge fan of the Tudors, so loved standing on the spot where Anne Boleyn was executed.”
The 26-year-old star admitted appearing in The Hills made her self-conscious, but for her latest show,Audrina, she has learned not to scrutinize what people say or write about her.
“Everyone has an opinion even though they don’t really know the truth. It’s for this reason I don’t really care or read what people say,” she said.
“I used to, but then I realized if you care about what everyone else thinks and try to please them all, then you will end up destroying yourself.”
Audrina also explained her latest show will focus on her sometimes “intense” relationships and family, as well as charting her acting career.
“The Hills was about living in Hollywood. But Audrina is about everything that’s going on in my life.” she said.
“It gets pretty intense at times. Especially when my family are arguing, or I’m fighting with my ex boyfriend, Corey Bohan.”
