Emma Watson wanted to be a fairy when she was younger.
The 21-year-old actress says had she not landed a blockbuster role in the Harry Potter movies she may well have gone for more mundane ways to perform.
“When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a fairy,” says Emma.
“I would happily have taken a job as a fairy-for-hire at children’s parties as a chosen profession but then, luckily for me, acting came up and that’s the next best thing to being a fairy!”
Emma recently admitted she “almost broke down in tears” when she was asked to act angrily.
“My acting tutor said the hardest thing for me was to get angry,” sa said. “I almost broke down in tears when they tried to get me to be angry. I said, ‘I can’t do it, I just can’t do it.’
“I keep all of that really bottled up somewhere and I feel unleashing it would be the scariest thing – and to let myself be powerful, sexy, all those things, it’s scary for me. Even playing the bad girl in this shoot felt a bit uncomfortable and awkward, it didn’t come naturally at all.”
